REVLON ColorStay Eyeliner Crayon

This is one of the first eyeliners that I ever used from when i was a young child doing dancing and to this day, I’ve never found anything better.

Packaging

One of the first things that I love about this product is that it’s a twist up crayon,  thus meaning that I don’t have to worry about a sharpener. However, in the bottom of the product there is conveniently a little sharpener that you can pull out which is perfect for freshening up the tip for a more smooth and pigmented application onto the eye. On the other end of the sharpener there is also a smudging sponge but i never use it. I find that it’s really hard and tugs at my eye way too much. I also never feel a need to smudge out my eyeliner in general. The last great thing about the packaging is that the caps are the colour of the eyeliner so it’s super easy to identify which is which when you’re doing your makeup.

Product

The thing I love most about this product is that when it says “ColorStay” the colour definitely does stay. I’ve never had issues with this eyeliner fading from my waterline or eyelid..ever. Once it has dried down, it will not smudge or budge. Speaking of which, unless you use an oil based makeup remover, you’ll have it on your eyes for the next few days. These eyeliners are extremely smooth and pigmented and do not pull at my eye at all. They’re also very true to and rich in colour. My only issue is that the tip has snapped on me a couple times so be wary of how much you unwind. It’s definitely not a product that you can do winged liner with. I’ve never actually come across a pencil that is, but I’m sure there’s one magical one out there somewhere.

Black liner on my Lips

Handy Tip:
I used this eyeliner as a lip liner for when I need black lipstick for a Halloween party and it worked perfectly! It wasn’t drying at all and applied so smoothly. Also, because it’s ColorStay, it stayed regardless of what I ate or drank

I have this product in 3 colours:

201 Black

This is definitely my most used colour. It’s great for dramatic eyes  as it is a very deep black. I also find this great for lining the area towards the inner corner of my eyes because I find that I have more control with a pencil liner compared to liquid liner.

203 Brown

I bought this shade to use for more casual makeup looks where I don’t want the dramatic look of black eyeliner. I have brown eyes so the brown liner compliments them really nicely.

207 Amethyst

I purchased this eyeliner on a bit of a whim as I had seen a YouTube tutorial of someone with similar colouring to me use it on their eyes for a summer look. I still haven’t tried it yet as it’s quite bold, but purple also goes well with brown eyes so I’m definitely keen to doing so this summer.

Eyeliner is featured on my upper eyelid.

These liners retail for $23.95AUD but because it’s a drugstore product there would be frequent sales across the various stores. You can purchase REVLON from:
The website
Myer
David Jones Target
Priceline
Other Chemists/Pharmacies/Drugstores

I will add that I’d like to find a new favourite eyeliner in a brand that doesn’t test on animals. I’m almost out of this one so I’ll have to do some research and find a new one.

I hope you found this post helpful. What is your favourite eyeliner? Let me know.

xoxo
