This was one of my first “high end” palettes and omg i could not recommend it more! It’s perfect for everyone, whether you’re just getting into makeup or eyeshadow or whether you’re an unofficial makeup artist.
The packaging is so pretty and girly and I feel like it represents my style in a nutshell. It also feels super sturdy.
The colours are beautiful warm browny colours that can be used for natural every day looks, or super intense smokey eyes. Within the palette there are 9 shades, 4 matte and 5 shimmer. The palette is also laid out to give you ideas of looks to create as each row is a look in itself ie. the first colour is the highlight shade, the 2nd is the lid shade and the 3rd is the outer V shade. Of course, you don’t have to stick to the suggested looks, i personally don’t. But they’re always a good place to start. I find that this palette is perfect for travelling as it’s very versatile and very compact. This has definitely been my go-to travel palette.
The only grievance that i have with this palette is that the mirror is not a big as it could be. If it took up the whole space of the lid then it would have been a decent sized mirror.
All of the shades are extremely pigmented and have a very buttery and smooth formula. My favourite shades are “Honey Pot”, “Push-Up” and “Cashmere Bunny”. They’re all such beautiful lid shades, especially when applied with your finger to pick up the extra pigment.
One of my go-to day time looks is to use “Nudie” in the crease, “Honey Pot” on the lid, “Cashmere Bunny” in the outer corner, “Heaven” as a highlight on the brow bone and “Silk Teddy” in the inner corner.
This palette retails for $52.00 which is expected from a high end palette, but I guarantee you will use this palette so much that it will be worth it. You can purchase this palette from Mecca or their website.
I hope you found this post useful in deciphering between products to add to your collection. Let me know what your favourite eyeshadow palette is in the comments.
