Jeffree Star Cosmetics

Jeffree Star is a well known influencer in the big wide world of YouTube. He is a major part of the beauty community as he is always reviewing products or doing makeup tutorials so cake-cuttinghe definitely knows what he likes and would want from a product. He released his own line of cosmetics, “Jeffree Star Cosmetics” about a year or so ago now and it has been a huge success. The brand consists of  liquid lipsticks, lip scrubs, lip sticks, highlighters, eyeshadow palettes and hoodies that are all vegan, cruelty free, paraben free, talc free and gluten free

I was lucky enough to be gifted a highlighter and 2 of the liquid lipsticks for my birthday and when I saw them I honestly nearly cried. They’re so beautiful. I love that the products really represent him in terms of the packaging design, colours and colour names. It’s all a reflection of the QUEEN that he is. The packaging itself is bright pink on all of the main products, however he does have different colour packaging for particular collections.

Skin Frost Highlighter – Peach Goddess

The first thing that stood out to me when I saw this highlighter is that it is HUGE! It’s the biggest highlighter that I’ve ever seen so I know I will never run out. This would make it difficult to travel with though however I do have other highlighters that I could use instead.

The colour is a beautiful peachy pink with gold shimmer that compliments tan skin tones soooooo beautifully. Since I received this highlighter, it’s the only one that I have used. I’d be happy to give away my other highlighters because really, this is all I’ll ever need in my lifetime. It’s so velvety to touch that I could sit there swatching it all day long. It’s also so incredibly pigmented that your cheeks will be blinding. I also like to use a cream highlighter underneath to add extra glow however, you really don’t need to.

These highlighters cost $29USD ($38AUD) for 15grams of product…. yeah, 15 grams!!! That is incredible value for money that I’d recommend to anyone. I love this colour but Jeffree has such a wide range that I GUARANTEE that you’ll find one that’s right for you.

Velour Liquid Lipsticks

Overall I love these liquid lipsticks. Compared to many others that I have tried they have a very thin consistency, yet are still pigmented. This is so important because it means that it’s less likely to crack, clump up or dry my lips out. I find that I am able to reapply throughout the night without it feeling heavy or going clumpy on my lips. It does still dry out my lips a tiny bit and sinks into fine lines, but nowhere near as bad as any other liquid lip that I’ve tried. I also like to use a lip scrub and a lip balm before putting on the liquid lip and after I take it off at night. It’s also incredibly long wearing and will hardly fade throughout the night, if at all.

Celebrity Skin

This is the most perfect nude shade that I have ever found for my skin tone. It’s not too pink or too beige or too similar to my skin colour that it looks like I have no lips. It’s absolutely perfect for every day or for a very intense eye look.

This is one of my most favourite lip shades that I have ever come across. It’s such a beautiful and unique, dark pink colour that I feel like suits me so much and almost every makeup look that I do. I sometimes also like to put “Celebrity Skin” in the centre part of my lips with this on the outer part and then blend them together with my finger. This achieves a lovely gradient effect.

These liquid lipsticks retail for $18USD ($23AUD) which again, is an excellent price for such a high quality liquid lipstick and definitely well worth it.

You can purchase Jeffree Star Products from the website, Princess Polly in Australia or Beauty Bay.
