I purchased these products on a bit of a whim over 4 months ago. I had wondered about Lush hair products for a while and I had heard relatively good things and I love that they’re vegan and cruelty-free so I decided to give them a go. I alternated between using these products and my other shampoo + conditioner combo so that I’d finish the products rather than sending my old ones to my shampoo graveyard.
A cupboard that my unfinished shampoo goes to when I find ones I like better. RIP
So I’ve essentially been using this product at least once a week for 4 months now and my first impression is that a little goes a long way. It hardly looks like I’ve used either of the bottles so I know that it’ll last me ages and ages (the shop assistant at Lush did tell me this so I can now confirm that he was right. I was sceptical lol).
A little info on my hair: I have long, thick, undyed hair. My roots are quite oily but my ends are quite dry.
This shampoo smells so incredible (surprise, surprise). It’s very fruity as it has freshly juiced pineapples, kiwi, mango and pawpaw which leaves me feeling and smelling fresh and summery all day long. I chose this particular shampoo as it designed to help an oily scalp as the fruits have “enzymes that help break down excess sebum (oil) on the scalp” and hey, it works. My hair lasts 3-4 days without needing another wash, which I really like. I really enjoy using this shampoo and I’d definitely recommend it. Considering how long it lasts as well I’d say that it is well worth the price.
This conditioner is the matching one to the shampoo. It smells quite citrusy but with a touch of lavender which I really love and it leaves my hair feeling silky and soft afterwards. Again, I thoroughly enjoy this product and I’d definitely recommend it and say that it’s worth the price.
An honourable mention:
Something really awesome that lush do is that they have a full list of the ingredients for each product on their website as well as an explanation of what each ingredient is and the purpose that it serves in the product. This is especially helpful when some of the ingredient names are long and confusing. Lush also highlight all the natural ingredients in green for some extra insight.
I absolutely love Lush and I definitely think it is a brand that is worth supporting and giving a go. I love that they have strong ethical values and that they constantly stand by them and promote them. I think it’s very admirable.
What’s your favourite Lush product? And what’s your go-to shampoo and conditioner combo? I’d love to know 🙂
