2017 Favourite Products

So I can’t believe 2017 has come to an end already and the Christmas and New Year seasons are over. Inspired by many others, I thought I’d give a special mention to some of my favourite and most-used products this year.

Colour Pop No Filter Concealer

This concealer has changed the game for me. The Maybelline Age Rewind concealer used to be my all-time favourite because it was so high coverage and affordable but it’s not cruelty-free which is a bit of a deal breaker for me. The Colour Pop No Filter concealer is the answer to my prayers as it’s just as high coverage, even more affordable AND cruelty-free. I have the shades Light and Medium. I use Light to highlight, Medium to spot conceal and then I mix them for under my eyes.

The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer

When I first tried this highlight, I found it to be way too light for my skin tone, but since then I’ve worked out how to use it to suit me. I love using it as a highlight for my inner corners of my eyes, on my nose, and my cupids bow as it looks nice and bright and is a natural highlight colour. As for my cheekbones, I often use a tiny bit of this highlighter on the highest point of them for an even more intense glow.

Too Faced Cocoa Contour Palette

This has been my go-to contour pretty much all year. It’s so easy to blend out and takes barely any effort at all. I love that I don’t have to worry about putting too much on and it turning muddy. I have the “medium to deep” palette which works really well for my skin tone. I also love using the “bronzing” shade called “medium mocha” to contour my nose as it’s not as intense.

Becca Blushed with Light Blush Trio Palette

These have been my most used blushes all year by far, my favourite being “songbird”. It’s just such a natural warm bronze colour that just looks so flattering on. I also love using it as an eyeshadow in my crease. These blushes are super pigmented and really easy to blend. This is a really pricey palette but if you can afford it, or find it for a good price, or can ask for it as a present, I’d HIGHLY recommend it.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick: Nathan

I’ve been looking for a peach toned nude for the longest time so when Jeffree Star released his Family collection and I saw the shade “Nathan” I was super excited because it was exactly what I was looking for. I know that I already LOVE the formula (it’s my favourite liquid lipstick formula ever).

Also, be sure to check out my last Favourites post as it is all still very relevant and true.

I hope you all had a fab year and wish you lots of luck in your endeavours in 2018. Thank you for the support and I’m excited about what’s to come.
